Google Ad Grants: Free AdWords Money for Nonprofits

Did you know? If you are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, you could qualify for $10,000 a month in free money for Google AdWords advertising.

Google Ad Grants, part of the Google for Nonprofits initiative, has already helped more than 20,000 nonprofits across 50 countries raise their organization’s visibility, share their story, and further their mission. Why aren’t you taking advantage of this in-kind donation of $10,000 each month in Google AdWords advertising?

Maybe it seems too good to be true, or maybe you just aren’t sure where to start. Perhaps you feel it will take too much time to manage and run successful AdWords campaigns to benefit your organization. Or maybe this is the first you’re hearing of Google for Nonprofits and its Google Ad Grants program.

We’re Here to Help
Whatever your situation or your marketing challenges, Red Iron Marketing is ready to help. We can help you start your application to Google for Nonprofits, or manage your AdWords
campaign from start-to-finish for maximum results. Read on to see if your nonprofit may qualify…

How to Qualify for Google Ad Grants
To qualify for Google Ad Grants, your nonprofit organization must:

- hold valid 501(c)(3) status for a charitable, educational, religious, literary, scientific, or other tax-exempt purpose
- be registered with your local TechSoup organization
- Acknowledge and agree to Google’s required certifications regarding nondiscrimination and donation receipt and use

In addition to meeting the above criteria, you must have a live website with substantial content. You can then use that content as the basis for AdWords campaigns, with ads and keywords that match your organization’s programs and services.

Furthermore, the AdWords account must be actively managed, with an administrator logging in at least once a month and making one change to the account every 90 days. As a grant recipient, you’ll be limited to a budget of $329 per day for text-based search ads, with a maximum cost-per-click (CPC) of $2. You are not required to spend the entire $10,000 each month—although funds cannot be rolled over.

$10,000 Goes Far When Red Iron Helps You Maximize Your AdWords Spend

With campaigns capped at a cost of $2 per click, $10,000 in advertising can go a long way, especially if you are using the right keywords and calls-to-action to get the best results. Whether you choose to do it yourself or seek help, why let this opportunity for in-kind AdWords advertising slip away?
